Skiing & Snowboarding Privileges
All employees receive an unrestricted Team Member pass that entitles you to ski or ride in both our Downhill and Nordic Areas, during normal operating hours.
Volunteers receive a Volunteer Season Pass entitles you to ski or ride in both our Downhill and Nordic Areas, during normal operating hours.
Team member skiing and riding privileges do not entitle you to lift-line priority. Ski Patrollers and Instructors teaching private lessons are the only employees with lift-line priority. As a team member at Cypress, you are expected to know and follow the Alpine and Nordic Responsibility Codes posted throughout the area, and online at {www.cypressmountain.com/mountain-safety}. Breach of the code or crashing lift-lines will result in disciplinary action and suspension of your skiing and/or riding privileges. Lift Operators reserve the right to refuse use of lifts at their discretion.
If you have purchased a seasons pass pre-season/prior to being employed by Cypress Mountain, you may submit for a pro-rated refund of that pass AFTER February 1st (stipulations apply and amounts/percentages of refund may differ). Refunds may be requested/submitted for Team members only, no family member’s passes. Please ask your Manager about this program and what information they need to submit this request. The following criteria must be met to be considered for a rebate of your pre-purchased season pass:
must still be employed/be an active Cypress Team member in good standing as of February 1st
have purchased a Gold/Silver/Cross Country season pass, prior to season start/prior to employment
are actively working FT or PT
Discount Privileges at Cypress Mountain:
Please present your team member pass at time of purchase to receive discounts in both the Downhill and Nordic Areas.
Rental Shop – 50% discount - Complete the rental form when you enter the Rental Centre, and have a credit card or debit card for rental deposit. Rentals must be returned by end of day and not be kept overnight. Discounted rentals may not be available on weekends, holidays or other peak times, depending on volume and up to the discretion of the Rental Shop Supervisors/Manager.
Snow School - Free drop in group lessons - when space is available. Check at the Lesson Desk, located in the Rentals Centre for availability on the day of. Some restrictions apply.
Snow School - Team only lesson - sign up will be circulated via email about these events when available. These usually start running after the Christmas holidays.
Food Services – 50% off in the Cypress Creek Café, Gold Medal Cafe, Aguila Cantina, Hollyburn Lodge and Nordic Café. Discounts do not apply in the Crazy Raven Bar & Grill or on alcoholic beverages. Team members are encouraged to bring a lunch on busy days to avoid line ups in F&B.
Big Bear Sports Retail Shop – 30% off regular retail, 40% off selected Cypress logo wear. Valid for most stock items. Some exceptions may apply.
Season Pass discounts for family members - 50% off the regular price of a G8 or Cross Country season pass and 30% off the regular price of a Silver, Starlite Nitetimer or Snowshoe Season pass. These discounts are for immediate family only (spouses & minor children, parents/siblings for Team members that are minors), living at the same address and do not apply to already purchased passes. If you are interested in purchasing one for a qualifying family member, ask your Manager or Supervisor for the process (they will email Guest Services to let them know you qualify for this special offer).
